The Kinda Pretty Story

Hello!

I am Amanda and I create mini cakes with beautiful buttercream hand piped flowers to make any day just a little bit prettier. I am all about doing small things just to make someone's day nicer and happier.

I have been creating wedding cakes and cupcakes for around 25 years but was looking to do something a little different. I feel like big cakes always look amazing but when served up, so much goes to waste and cupcakes seem to have had their day. These beautiful little 10cm hand piped cakes packaged in customised burger boxes are so cute and special. Just the right amount for happy eating.

Over the years I have been featured in Vogue magazine's annual Bridal Edition and I have created over 200 wedding cakes and countless cupcakes for clients, friends and family.

In 2018 we moved to Manhattan, New York and I trained in Brooklyn with the unbelievably talented Jiahn from BK Floral Delight @bk_floral_delight. She taught me buttercream techniques to create the most beautiful hand piped flowers and I am loving now making these cakes back home on the Surfcoast in Victoria, Australia.
